I am Rebecca Hazard and the founder of Haphazard. I love block and riso printing, both the process and seeing the final result revealed in front of your eyes. I run an architectural practice with my husband by day and print whenever I have a spare moment. The dream is to fit in more and more of the latter!
My Story
I started screenprinting in 2012 and instantly fell in love with the process. I created clothing, toys and homeware. Having found a lino printing set when my parents were selling my childhood home, I found block printing a much more accessible practice in the home environment. For many years, I enjoyed making cards for my friends which hopefully made them smile when they opened the envelope. I am constantly eager to learn new approaches and to better my technique.
In 2023, I came across an old riso printer and decided to take my chances. I am really enjoying experimenting with the vibrant inks and enjoy the speed that an image is created – a lazy person’s screenprinting as I have once read!
I hope to start selling my prints very soon so watch this space! In the meantime, please get in touch if anything takes your fancy.
